YES: ATELIER MUJI
The well-designed 'Atelier Muji' collection reminded me of what Design Within Reach would be if it actually lived up to its name. Best pieces: compact rice cooker (above), city-friendly bicycle, and a solar-powered radio the size of a credit card.

The interior of the store kind of look likes Shigeru Ban gone wrong. Why all the card board? Just because their products are cheap does it mean their store interior has to be too?
ReplyDeleteIt's an array of cardboard shelves that they manufacture. The store was really nice, it had a very good café and they even sell prefab housing (!) there.
ReplyDeleteHmm okay I guess that makes sense.
